Healthcare infrastructure
that you actually own.

FreeOSCloud replaces hyperscaler Health IT and legacy HIS vendors with a fully open-source, GitOps-managed cloud. Predictable cost. No vendor lock-in. Your data stays yours.

The current model is broken.

Healthcare systems are paying hyperscaler premiums for infrastructure they don't control, running legacy HIS platforms with no exit path, and absorbing annual cost increases with no negotiating leverage.

Status Quo

  • AWS / Azure lock-in with unpredictable egress costs
  • Legacy HIS vendors (Epic, Cerner, InterSystems) with 7-figure contracts
  • VMware / Broadcom licensing now 3–5× post-acquisition
  • Red Hat OpenShift subscription adds $250K+ annually
  • Data sovereignty at the mercy of US CLOUD Act
  • No audit trail on infrastructure changes
  • Vendor-managed upgrades — you find out when it breaks

FreeOSCloud

  • On-premise or hosting company managed — your hardware, your cost
  • 100% open-source stack — zero proprietary licensing
  • GitOps-first: every change is a reviewed, auditable git commit
  • Flat monthly pricing model — no surprise invoices
  • Data stays in your jurisdiction, always
  • Full RBAC audit log on all infrastructure operations
  • Self-healing, AI-supervised operations layer

Three principles. One platform.

FreeOSCloud is built on digital sovereignty, fiscal predictability, and full auditability — the three things every hospital CIO needs and no hyperscaler will give you.

🏛️

Sovereign

Your infrastructure, your jurisdiction, your rules. Data never leaves your control. No US CLOUD Act exposure. No vendor access without your explicit authorisation.

📊

Predictable

Flat monthly pricing, fixed per cluster. No egress fees. No per-seat licensing. No annual "true-up" surprises. Budget it once and it stays that way.

🔍

Auditable

Every infrastructure change is a git commit with a reviewer, a timestamp, and a rollback path. GitOps means the cluster state is always traceable to its source.

🤖

Autonomous Operations

AI-supervised operations layer (Shadow Architecture) continuously monitors cluster health, self-heals within defined boundaries, and escalates only when human judgment is needed.

Enterprise-grade. No proprietary components.

Built entirely on CNCF-graduated and incubating projects — the same stack that runs the world's largest cloud platforms, without the hyperscaler margin.

Container Orchestration

k3s (lightweight Kubernetes) on bare-metal or VM clusters. Production-hardened, HA control plane, multi-node worker pools.

GitOps Delivery

ArgoCD App-of-Apps pattern. All workloads declared in git. No ad-hoc kubectl changes. Full drift detection and automatic reconciliation.

Integration Layer

HL7 FHIR, Mirth Connect, Apache Camel K, Kafka (Strimzi), RabbitMQ. Standards-based interoperability without proprietary middleware.

Observability

Prometheus + Grafana for metrics, Loki for logs, Alertmanager for alerts. Full stack visibility out of the box.

Security

Cert-manager TLS everywhere, Vault for secrets, Harbor for container image scanning, Wazuh SIEM. GDPR and NIS2 aligned by design.

Backup & DR

Velero + Longhorn for PVC snapshots, MinIO for on-site object storage, Backblaze B2 for off-site weekly replication. RTO/RPO defined per workload.

FreeOSCloud HealthCloud capabilities overview

See the full HealthCloud stack in real time.

This is not a slide. It’s the live view of an actual HealthCloud cluster: control plane, worker nodes, and all core platform services running on it. Exactly what you get from the standard “cookie-cutter” deployment.

Operations are handled by FreeOSBot (ShadowOps) — an AI DevOps engineer that monitors the cluster 24/7, applies changes only via GitOps, and escalates to a human engineer only when judgment is needed.

Free as in Sovereign. Not free as in beer.

We build with 100% open-source tools, but operating a reliable, unified Health IT stack requires expertise. Our business model is straightforward, transparent, and built entirely around predictability.

🏢

The Stack is Yours

The entire HealthCloud GitOps repository and configuration is handed to you. No vendor lock-in. No proprietary data formats. If you have the internal skills, you can run it yourself.

💰

Flat Monthly Pricing

We charge a fixed, flat monthly fee per deployed cluster for the FreeOSBot automated operator and our level-3 support. No per-user licensing. No per-CPU licensing. No egress fees.

🤝

For Hosting Companies

We partner with regional ISPs and Tier-3 datacenters. You provide the bare-metal servers or VMs. We provide the Health IT stack and AI operator. Together, we deliver a managed cloud to local hospitals.

The numbers speak for themselves.

Based on real deployments. Indicative 3-year TCO comparison for a mid-size hospital (500–1000 beds) running core Health IT workloads.

Cost Component Hyperscaler (AWS/Azure) Legacy HIS + VMware FreeOSCloud
Platform licensing €180K–320K / yr €250K–450K / yr €0
Infrastructure compute €120K–200K / yr €80K–150K / yr €40K–80K / yr
Managed service / support €60K–120K / yr €100K–200K / yr €30K–60K / yr
Egress / data transfer €20K–60K / yr €0
3-Year Total €1.1M–2.1M €1.3M–1.8M €210K–420K
Savings vs. hyperscaler €700K–1.6M

* Figures are indicative. Actual savings depend on workload profile, existing contracts, and hardware amortisation. Contact us for a tailored assessment.

FreeOSCloud is priced the way infrastructure should be: as a predictable platform, not a maze of SaaS add-ons. A one-time deployment fee covers initial design, cluster sizing, migration of your first workloads, and acceptance testing.

After go-live you pay a flat monthly fee per production cluster that bundles the HealthCloud platform, hosting/operations (when delivered through a hosting partner), and ShadowOps operations (FreeOSBot + human escalation). No per-seat, per-VM, per-message or hidden egress charges — the 3-year TCO in the table already includes everything on our side.
